Acclaimed choral installation ES DEVLIN: CONGREGATION makes its U.S. premiere in New York City 🎶
ES DEVLIN: CONGREGATION features large-scale portraits of 50 Londoners who have been displaced from their homelands, and shows how art can illuminate powerful human stories.
Presented as a projection-mapped tiered sculpture, the work offers a luminous encounter with those who bring their gifts to a new country.
The work was co-authored by the 50 portrait sitters - reflecting on their lives in London, as well as their journeys from more than 25 countries, including Syria, Sudan, Ukraine, and Afghanistan.
CONGREGATION will be on view at PAC NYC from now through Nov 1, and again Dec 9 - Jan 4 & is pay-what-you-wish, thanks to support from Bloomberg Philanthropies
