Anne Frank would have turned 96 this week. In her honor, Anne Frank The Exhibition is opening its doors for free this Friday, June 13, from 2:45–5:00 PM (last entry at 4:30). First come, first served. No RSVP. No booking. Just show up.
This is the first time ever that the Anne Frank House has been recreated the Annex outside of Amsterdam, and it’s right here in NYC. It’s immersive, emotional, and unlike anything else. If you’ve been meaning to go, or have friends and family who’ve been trying to get tickets, this is your moment.
The free day is part of a new initiative called Summer of Reflection: The Legacy of Anne Frank, a citywide effort to reflect, respond, and remember. Over 10,000 free diaries are being distributed to young people across New York. Artists, activists, and public figures are sharing their reflections using #DearAnne to honor her legacy. And now, they are making sure more people can experience the exhibition for themselves.
