For anyone in NJ or looking to skate without the overwhelming crowds of Manhattan rinks, Newport Skates is a perfect option. It’s extremely accessible from NYC — just hop on the PATH train and it’s a quick 6-minute walk to the rink.
Newport Skates is hosting free holiday events:
Monday 12/22, they are having Christmas Carolers come sing at 5pm, then at 6:30 a vocalist will perform sing along songs and holiday song covers
Tuesday 12/23 Santa is visiting from 4pm-7pm! Everyone is welcome to interact with him and take photos, even if they are not skating
Skate admission is $13,skate rentals are $7. Skating not required for above events.
