Honk if you love buses! The Bus Festival is back on Saturday, September 19!

The New York Transit Museum and MTA New York City Transit present the 2026 Bus Festival at Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Climb aboard and explore the evolution of NYC’s bus fleet, enjoy hands-on activities for all ages, meet the heroes who keep our city moving, and snap a picture-perfect photo of vintage vehicles with the Manhattan skyline as your backdrop.

Bus Festival is FREE! The event runs rain or shine, from 10am-3:30pm, at Emily Warren Roebling Plaza in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

This year’s Bus Festival will feature special activities in the New York Transit Museum App for visitors of all ages. Festival goers can test their surface transit knowledge with trivia challenges for adults and kids, then explore the historic buses on display through an exciting Bus Festival scavenger hunt. Snap a photo of every vintage bus to complete the hunt and earn a special transit-themed temporary tattoo!
