FAQ:
When is the lottery open?
The lottery is open from Friday, June 26 at 10:00 AM to Monday, June 29 at 11:59 PM.
What time do the fireworks start?
The fireworks start at 9:25 PM.
How are lottery winners selected?
Selections are fully randomized. Entries are not scored by neighborhood, borough, residency, or the time you applied within the entry window.
Do I need to live in New York City?
No. Location and residency are not part of lottery selection.
What happens if I am selected?
You’ll receive an email with a time window to claim your tickets and choose from the viewing zones that still have availability.
Can I bring a group?
Yes — each winner can register a group of up to 4 (winner + 3 guests). Each winner must submit all guests' names and emails during registration - not the lottery - to secure the tickets. Children 2 and under do not need a ticket. Everyone 3 and older needs their own ticket and counts toward your group of up to 4.
