With summer in full swing, Prospect Park Alliance, the non-profit that sustains Brooklyn's Backyard, is kicking off a new chapter at one of its most popular destinations, the Samuel J. and Ethel LeFrak Center at Lakeside. Following renovations and with new operators in place, the Center will reopen for rollerskating, boating and—for the first time—pickleball, on the weekend of August 2 + 3.

Registration is now open for the weekend activities on a first-come, first-served basis; however a limited number of spots will be held for walk-up admission. Register today!

Plus, visit the center's Duck Island Cafe during opening weekend for a free Hibiscus Brew with every purchase, 2-for-1 Hibiscus Spritz and free mini croissants for the first 150 visitors.
