Here’s a monthly recap of Pop-ups and seasonal/cultural events. Note: more will come up (especially pop-ups!) as the month goes on.

  • 1-31: Fifth Avenue Blooms: Head to Fifth Avenue in May for a monthlong floral installation by Van Cleef & Arpels. You can enjoy nine floral installations from 50th - 59th Street + performances and more

  • 1-16: Bryant Park Dance Parties (Various days): Dance Party returns to Bryant Park and celebrates its 10th anniversary season with ten styles of dance over six nights! Dance Party events will take place every Wednesday and Thursday from May 1 to May 16.

  • 2-4: Illumination Light Art Festival: Year 3 of the Illumination Light Art Festival is a bigger and brighter festival than ever before, with 15+ light art installations, interactive pieces, light based performers, a giant stage, DJs and more (Belvedere Plaza & WTC)

  • 5: Morgan Library Spring Centennial: Celebrate the Morgan’s 100th birthday and the reopening of the Morgan Garden with a special celebration for all ages featuring live music, exhibition tours, artmaking, scavenger hunts, and more!

  • 18: Sound & Color! Spring Festival at Brooklyn Bridge Park: Sound & Color! Spring Festival at Brooklyn Bridge Park is a celebration of colors, culture, spring and unity. Join for this day-long festival, to herald the arrival of Spring with live musical performances, food vendors, kids activities, and activities!

    22-28: Fleet Week New York: Now in its 36th year, the U.S. Army, U.S. Coast Guard, and U.S. Marine Corps will participate in events throughout NYC, including free public ship tours of USS ships, performances, a dive tank, events at the Intrepid, and so much more.

  • 28-29:  Manhattanhenge: Manhattanhenge is when the setting sun is exactly aligned with the street grid of Manhattan. Between May 28-July 13, the "Manhattanhenge Effect" occurs.
