The student-led “Battle of the Bands” is kicking off the 2026 BIG EAST Men’s Basketball Tournament with a return to Vessel at Hudson Yards.

On a first-come, first-served basis, visitors will receive complimentary tickets to experience the energy of the BIG EAST Marching Bands as St. John’s University, Providence College, Butler University, Marquette University, and Creighton University battle it out in an epic start to the tournament.

Set against sweeping views of New York City and the Hudson River, the bands will perform throughout Vessel’s interconnected staircases and platforms, transforming the landmark into a dynamic, multi-level celebration of music and school spirit.

The 2026 BIG EAST Men’s Basketball Tournament Presented by Jeep returns to Madison Square Garden for the 44th consecutive year from Wednesday, March 11th through Saturday, March 14th.
