Disability Pride NYC Parade & Block Party
About this event
On Sunday, October 18, New Yorkers will come together for a free and accessible Disability Pride NYC Parade, followed by a vibrant community Block Party in Union Square.
Madison Square Park → Union Square

11 AM–3 PM
FREE & ACCESSIBLE
This year is especially meaningful as we mark the 50th anniversary of the historic 1977 Section 504 Sit-in, one of the most important moments in the U.S. disability rights movement.
But this day is also about looking forward and showing NYC just how big, diverse, joyful and loving our disability community is. We’re bringing together disabled New Yorkers, families, artists, performers, community organizations, advocates and allies from across the city for a day of celebration, culture, connection and community.
And there is so much happening throughout the day!
Live performances and entertainment
Arts, culture and community activities
Dozens of organizations tabling and connecting with the community
A free Block Party in Union Square
Accessibility built into the event
