Today in Central Park, Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans — joined by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, Mayor Zohran Mamdani, and Governor Kathy Hochul — announced a free FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Watch Party on the Great Lawn.
On July 19, 50,000 fans will gather for a large-scale viewing experience featuring three jumbo LED screens, immersive sound, live entertainment, food vendors, activations, and special appearances from iHeartRadio's Charlamagne Tha God and Elvis Duran.
The Great Lawn has been home to the Global Citizen Festival for 14 years — this summer, the iconic space becomes the world's biggest watch party for the world's biggest match.
Evans also announced that the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund has surpassed $50M raised toward its $100M goal, supporting grassroots educational and sports organizations worldwide — including Street Soccer USA, which installed “FIFA Arena,” a free mini-soccer pitch in Central Park offering clinics, tournaments, and open play throughout the tournament, unveiled today. Global Citizen awarded Street Soccer USA a $250,000 grant to further its mission of using sport to inspire kids to focus on their education.
Global Citizen is also producing the FIFA World Cup Halftime Show featuring Shakira, Madonna, and BTS, as part of its broader four-year partnership with FIFA
