Why trek to the Catskills when you can pick farm-fresh apples in the middle of Manattan? On Tuesday, November 25, The Farmlink Project and 260 Sample Sale are transforming its flagship at 261 Fifth Avenue into a Free pop-up apple orchard— complete with hay bales, cider, and 20,000 pounds of locally grown New York apples.
Visitors can stop by starting at 11 a.m. to pick up FREE farm-fresh apples, sip warm cider, and learn about how Farmlink reroutes surplus produce from farms to families in need nationwide. The nonprofit will also donate 15,000 pounds of apples to partner food banks all over NYC ahead of Thanksgiving.
