It’s Climate Week, and it’s time to head to Central Park for a FREE show!
Summer Stages are teaming up with LymeLnk to help raise awareness about climate change and the resulting increase of tick-borne diseases, all while bringing you world-class music. Can’t make it? They’re livestreaming the show on their YouTube channel!
Performing for the evening is multi-platinum Southern California rock band Young the Giant, known for their hit songs like “Cough Syrup” and “My Body.” Their sixth full-length album, Victory Garden, explores themes of resilience and connection, culminating their years of advocacy and music.
The group has made environmental action a priority on the road, partnering with environmental nonprofit REVERB to reduce the impact of its tours by calculating its tour-related carbon footprint, supporting local climate and social nonprofits in the communities it visits, and contributing a portion of ticket proceeds to REVERB’s Climate Project Portfolio.
Joining the bill is Jean-Philip Grobler and Patti Beranek’s alt-pop project St. Lucia, performing work from their album Dusk.
DREEEMY will kick off the evening with a DJ set.
