2026 Summer Recital Series is here!
Presented in collaboration with Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage, the Met’s popular concert series in New York City parks returns this summer.
On June 15 at Central Park SummerStage and June 17 at Brooklyn Bridge Park, soprano Emily Pogorelc, tenor Joshua Blue, and baritone Edward Nelson join Met assistant conductor Dimitri Dover at the piano.
Four additional concerts will take place on June 8 at the Bronx’s Williamsbridge Oval, June 10 at Queens’s Socrates Sculpture Park, June 12 at Manhattan’s Jackie Robinson Park, and June 14 in Staten Island (Historic Richmond Town), featuring soprano Tessa McQueen, tenor Alex McKissick, and bass-baritone Lonwabo Mose, accompanied by Mariam Bombrun.
As part of Carnegie Hall’s United in Sound: America at 250 festival, these recitals will feature works by American composers.
All recitals are free. No RSVP is necessary. Bring a picnic blanket as seating is not guaranteed.
All recitals events will be presented rain or shine unless the weather poses a danger to audiences or performers. We will make announcements on the Met website and social media channels in the event we need to cancel.
