Internationally acclaimed artists Gillie and Marc have joined forces with Sesame Street for a major new public art exhibition in the heart of Midtown Manhattan at 590 Madison Avenue.
The Power of Togetherness is a joyful, immersive public art experience that brings together Gillie and Marc’s iconic characters, Rabbitwoman and Dogman, with beloved Sesame Street friends and endangered wildlife from around the world.
Launch Event Details
• Official unveiling: Friday, March 20, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• Location: 590 Madison Avenue, New York City
• Open to the public: Families, visitors, tenants, and Sesame Street fans are all welcome
• Special appearances by Cookie Monster and Elmo, a ribbon cutting, family-friendly activities, interactive moments, and a free signed Sesame Street and Gillie and Marc poster for all who attend, while supplies last
At the center of the exhibition are large-scale sculptures featuring beloved Sesame Street characters including Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Bert, and Ernie, alongside endangered animals such as the Northern White Rhino, African Elephant, and Mountain Gorilla.
Produced in collaboration with Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit behind Sesame Street, the exhibition celebrates kindness, empathy, inclusivity, and our shared responsibility to care for one another and the planet.
