Join U.S. Figure Skating on Sunday, February 8, for a special Try Skating for Free event at the iconic Wollman Rink in Central Park in New York City. This exciting day on the ice features a chance to meet Olympian Mirai Nagasu, enjoy a free skating lesson, and cheer on a local skater exhibition at 12:00 p.m.
For Kids (Ages 5+)
Meet Olympian Mirai Nagasu & Try Figure Skating 12:10–12:40 p.m. A free introductory lesson designed for young skaters of all experience levels. Experience options include:
First‑time skater
Can skate forwards
Can skate forwards & backwards with confidence
Capacity: 40 children
For Adults (18+)
Glide & Flow with Olympian Mirai Nagasu 12:50–1:15 p.m. A free on‑ice session focused on movement, flow, and confidence. Prerequisite: Must be comfortable skating forwards (no beginners) Capacity: 30 adults
