Zoom is inviting New Yorkers to step out for an actual lunch break next week — no desk, no meetings, no camera off.
From March 25–27, Zoom is opening the Hard Stop Burger Shop, a playful speakeasy-style pop-up designed to bring to life new findings from its national survey on the state of the modern lunch break. The data shows just how endangered that midday pause has become:
3 in 4 U.S. knowledge workers eat lunch while actively working at their desk at least once a week
60% regularly shorten their lunch to squeeze it between meetings or tasks
Over one-third skip lunch entirely at least once a week
