​Get ready for Reading Rhythms, an unforgettable reading experience hosted by City Point and Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, and taking place at Abolitionist Place. This socially connected reading party welcomes readers to an evening of reading, live music, and engaging discussions that bring stories to life. ​​How It Works:

  • ​Bring a book of your choice

  • ​Enjoy silent reading sessions set to live music

  • ​Meet fellow book lovers and share ideas in guided group discussions

​The best part? It’s totally free!

​The first 300 guests to check-in will receive a McNally Jackson bookmark / $5 gift card to their City Point location.

​​WHAT TO KNOW:

  • ​​Bring a book of your choice - paperback, hardcover, Kindle -- anything goes! - you will be prompted to share ideas and themes from your book during our programming blocks woven throughout the event.

  • ​​Grass, astroturf and limited seating available on a first come first served basis.  Blankets and beach chairs encouraged! 

  • ​​Event will run from 4:00PM to 6:00PM and will take place at Abolitionist Place, across the street from City Point.

  • ​​There is grass and limited seating. We encourage you to bring your own blanket if desired.

  • ​​This is an ageless event.

​​TICKET REGISTRATION INCLUDES:

  • ​​2-hour reading party led by Reading Rhythms, consisting of reading and discussion sessions, set to a backdrop of ambient live music.
